About Double-Acting Hydraulic Impact Hammers

Double-Acting Hydraulic Impact Hammers are designed to drive a wide range of pile types and sizes including single steel sheet piles, universal steel bearing piles and tubular piles.

The SL range of hammers concentrate the impact on a single pile providing the most effective use of the high energy produced. The low overall weight of the hammer avoids the necessity to use large cranes. The stroke is infinitely adjustable allowing full control at all stages of the driving. Safety and accuracy are assured via the inserts which are spring-loaded enabling the hammer to remain correctly located on the pile at all times.

The CX range of hammers can be used on a wide rangeof pile types and sizes:

  • Steel sheet piles in pairs
  • Universal tubular bearing piles
  • Steel ‘H’ piles
  • Steel combi piles
  • Reinforced concrete RC piles
  • Cast in situ CIS piles
  • Timber piles

Selection of the correct ram weight depends on pile section, length & ground conditions. the SL & CX hammers can be used crane suspended. the controls allow the operator to adjust the stroke and blow rate and the hammer can be operated on automatic or by manual operation on each blow.
