First Aid at Work
First Aid at Work training provides a complete set of practical skills required to become a first aider in the vast majority of workplaces.
The 3 day course can accommodate up to 12 delegates per day.
Course Objectives
- Understand health and safety first aid legislation and therole of a first aider
- Respond to and manage an emergency and the communication needed for casualty care
- Demonstrate resuscitation (adult CPR)
- Learn how to deal with asthma, bleeding (minor and severe), fainting, injuries (spinal, head, eye, bone, muscle,and joint), burns/scalds, chocking, shock, stroke, seizures,chest pain (including heart attach), choking (adult), low blood sugar, poisoning, and an unresponsive casualty
- Identify the correct defibrillator prompts and how to respond to them as well as pad placement
Certification
- St John Ambulance and/or Groundforce Training certificate
- EFAW qualification is valid for 3 years
