This safety course is for both new and experienced GRUNDOBURST Operators. The training provides essential instruction and practical assessments for safely and correctly deploying the GRUNDOBURST Pipe bursting system used for a variety of pipe bursting, pipe reduction and sewage lining installations.

Course Objectives

  • Define GRUNDOBURST
  • Explain what this specialist equipment should be used for
  • Differentiate between the different models of GRUNDOBURST
  • Understand the main components including rods
  • Understand how a GRUNDOBURST should be used and the variety of tasks it can help one tackle
  • Become familiar with the control panel layout as well as operating controls
  • Recognise the hazards, and implement control measures for those hazards
  • Carry out a risk assessment for the task at hand when deploying a GRUNDOBURST
  • Select appropriate tools and blades
  • Pull back and dock a GRUNDOBURST
  • Use the remote control and cable strike avoidance warning system
  • Identify pipe conditions and discuss the job site
  • Carry out troubling shooting, correct, and follow decommissioning procedure
  • Provide basic maintenance for a GRUNDOBURST

Certification

  • An EU Skills Virtual Card with photo ID, qualification and expiry date. Plastic cards are available upon request prior to the course start date or purchased directly from EUSR.
  • Electronic Groundforce Training certificate provided via email

EUSR qualifications are valid for 3 years. You’ll need to renew the qualification(s) on, or before, the expiry date in order to stay on the EU Skills register.
