About Emergency First Aid at Work

Emergency First Aid training assists with workplace compliance under The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. 

The 1 day course can accommodate up to 12 delegates per day.

Course Objectives 

  • Understand health and safety first aid legislation and the role of a first aider
  • Respond to and manage an emergency and the communication needed for casualty care
  • Demonstrate resuscitation (adult CPR)
  • Learn how to deal with burns, chocking,shock, seizures, and an unresponsive casualty
  • Identify the correct defibrillator prompt and how to respond to them as well as pad placement 

Certification 

St John Ambulance and/or Groundforce Training certificate

EFAW qualification is valid for 3 years

  • First Aid at Work Requalification (2 day course) 

  • First Aid Annual Refresher (3 hr course) 

  • AEDs (automated external defibrillators) & CPR First Aid Training (3 hr course) 

  • Fire Marshall (1/2 day course) 

  • Fire Marshall & Practical Fire Extinguishers (4-5 hour course)
