First Aid at Work

First Aid at Work training provides a complete set of practical skills required to become a first aider in the vast majority of workplaces.

The 3 day course can accommodate up to 12 delegates per day.

Course Objectives 

  • Understand health and safety first aid legislation and therole of a first aider
  • Respond to and manage an emergency and the communication needed for casualty care
  • Demonstrate resuscitation (adult CPR)
  • Learn how to deal with asthma, bleeding (minor and severe), fainting, injuries (spinal, head, eye, bone, muscle,and joint), burns/scalds, chocking, shock, stroke, seizures,chest pain (including heart attach), choking (adult), low blood sugar, poisoning, and an unresponsive casualty
  • Identify the correct defibrillator prompts and how to respond to them as well as pad placement

Certification 

  • St John Ambulance and/or Groundforce Training certificate
  • EFAW qualification is valid for 3 years

  • First Aid at Work Requalification (2 day course) 

  • First Aid Annual Refresher (3 hr course) 

  • AEDs (automated external defibrillators) & CPR First Aid Training (3 hr course) 

  • Fire Marshall (1/2 day course) 

  • Fire Marshall & Practical Fire Extinguishers (4-5 hour course)
