Groundforce’s new SheetMaster 2.0 product wins an award shortlisting at the CN Specialist awards
No sooner has it been launched but the latest product from construction services supplier Groundforce is in the running for a major national award.
Groundforce Shorco, the excavation support specialists, had marked the 10-year anniversary of their launch of the industry’s safest and smartest trench sheet handling system by offering even greater versatility with SheetMaster 2.0.
The new trench sheet installation system launched earlier this month (May 2026) combines the ease of using a quick release shackle with an integrated driving cap to remove working from height and a ratchet release mechanism to eliminate accidental sheet release.
Now the innovative product has won a shortlisting in the Specialist Construction Product of the Year category of the prestigious CN Specialists Awards 2026 which will be presented on September 3rd at The London Hilton.
And even better, the company has won a shortlisting in the Equipment Supplier of the Year category at the same awards.
Groundforce managing director Warren Buckland said:
“We’re extremely proud to see SheetMaster 2.0 shortlisted so soon after launch. The product has been developed over a number of years in close collaboration with JN Bentley to improve safety during trench sheet installation, while keeping the process simple and familiar for operators. This recognition is a great achievement for everyone involved in the project.”
Designed to reduce the number of handling accessories required on site, SheetMaster 2.0 is a multi-function sheet handling and installation attachment that replaces multiple regularly-used trench sheet handling tools on site.
It negates the need for quick release shackles, is used to lift the sheet into the vertical for positioning, has a driving cap to protect the sheet from damage when pushing the sheet into the ground, and is also built as an extractor to pull the sheet out of the ground. No formal training is required, as the process will be very familiar to operators that are used to using quick release shackles and driving caps.
